Papa Java Dark Roast

Papa Java is a limited-release blend of naturally processed Brazil and washed Indonesian Java. It's roasted dark (but not too dark); for a classic coffee flavor and rich tones without the charred and stale vibes of the past. You may reminisce on the ol’ cup of joe while enjoying aromas of dark maple syrup and malted chocolate, with tasting notes of molasses, chocolate covered pretzels and Dutch cocoa.

Roast Level: Dark

Crafted with 100% specialty-grade Arabica coffee, Papa Java features a 50/50 blend where each origin is roasted separately to highlight the unique character of every lot. The Brazilian component comes from the Cerrado region of southwestern Minas Gerais, known for producing approachable, chocolate-forward coffees. The Java originates from a single estate in Kluncing Village, East Java; Indonesia’s first island to cultivate coffee.

Brewing Tips: Great on drip, V60, Chemex and other pour over methods; recommended brew temp 190F or one minute off the boil to enhance darker roast characteristics.
