Baratza Encore ESP

Built around 40 mm conical burrs, the Encore ESP delivers consistent particle distribution and improved performance compared to the original. These burrs are optimized to handle fine espresso grinds; something the original Encore struggled with, without sacrificing quality in coarser brew ranges.

Unlike typical entry-level grinders, the Encore ESP’s grind adjustment is split into two distinct ranges:

• Settings 1–20: high-resolution steps designed for espresso, giving you the fine control needed for rich, syrupy shots.

• Settings 21–40: broader steps suited for pour-over, and drip.

The included dosing cup allows you to grind directly into a portafilter or container cleanly and consistently. Compatible with both 54 mm and 58 mm baskets when using the adapter.

The Encore ESP uses a turn-of-the-hopper adjustment collar with numbered settings to move easily through grind sizes. Finer adjustments in the espresso range help you dial in that perfect extraction, while coarser settings give you flexibility for other brew styles.

With a generous bean hopper capacity (~300 g) and a grounds bin capacity (~120 g), you can grind fresh for multiple coffees without constant refilling.

A dependable DC motor spins the burrs at around 550 RPM, delivering a smooth, cool grind that minimizes heat buildup and helps preserve coffee flavor.

The Encore ESP also still benefits from Baratza’s design philosophy emphasizing simplicity and ease of use; no complex electronics or confusing menus, just intuitive control with reliable results.

The burrs are tool-free removable, making routine cleaning and service quick and accessible. This helps maintain performance and lets you keep your grinder in top shape for years.
