Our first-ever coffee from India comes from Harangal Estate in the Coorg region of Karnataka, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it! Grown by Petu Kariappa, a member of the KaadKaapi collective (a group of farmers focused on quality and protecting the region’s natural biodiversity) this coffee is cultivated on a 100-acre farm tucked beneath the dense forest canopy of the Western Ghats. More wildlife sanctuary than traditional coffee farm, Harangal is home to thriving flora and fauna that help create an incredibly unique growing environment. We’ve been especially excited about this lot because it offers such a distinct look into the depth and character of Indian specialty coffee; a first for us, and hopefully the first of many.
