DONA FIRST FLUSH CEREMONIAL MATCHA
First Flush Ceremonial Matcha comes from several small producers in Japan, all dedicated to their craft. Each matcha is based on their similar flavor profiles: fresh, smooth, and toasty matcha with a clean finish and no bitter notes. It is hand-plucked, traditionally stone-milled, and air-freighted to ensure optimal freshness from our friends at DONA.
Origin: Kagoshima, Kyoto & Shizuoka, Japan. (Current offering may vary).
Stone-milling process: Tea leaves are slowly ground between two granite wheels, a traditional method that draws out deeper sweetness and fuller flavor. It’s a low-and-slow craft process you just can’t get from jet or ball mills.
