OUR ROAST
100% Specialty Arabica Coffee
Roasted Weekly in Small Batches
Ground Fresh to Order
If you like a rich and chocolatey Guatemalan coffee, you will not want to miss this single origin! We are roasting it a bit darker than a medium, which results in a very chocolate-forward profile without any bitterness, a clean body and indulgent cocoa notes.
A fresh grind brings out fragrances of melting chocolate, molasses and toffee. On the brew we taste dark chocolates (like the edges of a brownie) with hints of apple sweetness, molasses, and a touch of hazelnut. The moderate body and mild acidity makes this coffee a perfect daily drinker - straight-up, with cream, or as espresso.

Roast Level: Medium - dark
La Voz Que Clama en el Desierto is a cooperative in San Juan La Laguna, in Guatemalan’ Western Highlands. The cooperative, founded in the late 1970’s, grows coffee in rich volcanic soil surrounded by shade trees and a wide diversity of migratory birds. La Voz is certified organic, and its members (many of whom are women) grow their coffee in small plots of land before processing and patio-drying.
We are excited to bring back Guatemala La Voz for a short time, and support the cooperative’s initiatives of quality and betterment of the lives of its members. To top it off, this delicious coffee hits our favorite profile right on the nose and is great for espresso! Enjoy aromas of rich chocolates and molasses, and sip into notes of brownie batter, red apple, and toffee.
