Ground Fresh to Order
Generations of coffee-growing tradition come together in this exceptional lot from Claudia Nakao's farm in Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro region. Aromas of caramel and cookies lead into sweet honey notes, a velvety body, and a touch of juicy brightness. Approachable yet nuanced, it's a coffee that shines as a daily drip, pour-over or espresso.
The fresh ground aroma opens with notes of caramel cookies and honey-roasted nuts. In the cup, maple syrup sweetness leads into a rich, nutty body with a silky mouthfeel. The finish brings a delicate juicy apple brightness, especially noticeable in a V60 brew.
Overall, this is a sweet, balanced and versatile coffee. It shines as an iced coffee, and as espresso it becomes brighter, fruit-forward and beautifully rich.

Roast Level: Medium
Claudia Yatio Nakao grew up in a family deeply connected to coffee farming, learning the craft from both her parents and grandparents. In the 1990s, her family moved to Minas Gerais to help establish coffee production in the emerging Cerrado Mineiro region; a move that helped shape the area into one of Brazil’s most respected specialty coffee origins today.
Now leading the 3MC Nakao Group alongside her siblings, Claudia continues that legacy with a focus on quality, sustainability and responsible farm management. Her work reflects a modern approach to Brazilian coffee production: careful cultivation, precise processing and a commitment to long-term environmental stewardship.
Processing: Natural
Growing Region: Cerrado Mineiro, Minas Gerais; 1026 MASL
Varietal: Yellow Catuai
Excellent for: Pour over, drip coffee, iced coffee, espresso
Brewing Tips: Great across brewing methods with a 1:16 ratio. Pour-over brings out more honey notes while espresso becomes richer and more fruit-forward. We also love it over ice, where its sweetness and nutty finish remain refreshing and balanced.
