Uganda Kapyoma
High on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, Ugandan smallholder farmers cultivate rich, vibrant coffee in small plots which are then brought together by Cahoots Coffee into a community lot that reflects the region’s unique terroir. Lush, layered, and full of character; community coffees help support farmers with greater market access and fairer opportunities. This cup delights with rich aromas of cookies and brown sugar, followed by notes of dark fruits, drifting into a chocolatey body with a lingering dried cherry finish.
This small washed processed lot is from the Kapyoma processing station. Ripe cherries from nearby farmers come together to create a remarkably clean yet full-flavored coffee we’re honored to share.
Roasted to a medium profile, this coffee offers a bouquet of brighter notes on the first sip which mellows into a very chocolatey finish. It is an easy drinking coffee with notes of wafer cookie, brown sugar, chocolate bars, subtle florals and dried cherry. Moderate acidity and body, perfect for lovers of richer African coffees.
